Position: Assistant to Transport Manager
Location: Bijaynagar, Assam
Salary: ₹15,000 – ₹20,000 per month (Based on experience and interview performance)
Job Summary
DDJS India Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant to Transport Manager to support the day-to-day transportation and logistics operations at our Bijaynagar location. The ideal candidate should have relevant experience in the transportation or logistics industry and be capable of coordinating transport activities while assisting the Transport Manager in ensuring smooth operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Transport Manager in planning, coordinating, and managing daily transportation operations.
- Coordinate with drivers to ensure timely dispatch and movement of vehicles.
- Maintain trip sheets, vehicle logs, fuel records, and other transportation-related documentation.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
- Monitor vehicle movement and update transportation records.
- Assist in scheduling vehicle maintenance and ensure timely servicing of the fleet.
- Handle transport-related documentation, filing, and record maintenance.
- Coordinate with internal departments regarding transportation requirements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations.
- Support the Transport Manager in resolving day-to-day operational issues.
- Perform any additional duties assigned by the Transport Manager or Management.
Eligibility Criteria
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in the Transportation or Logistics industry.
- Education: Graduate in any discipline (preferred).
- Must have good knowledge of computer operations, including MS Excel, MS Word, email handling, and basic data entry.
- Good communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Candidates
- Candidates residing in or around Bijaynagar are preferred.
- Candidates from other locations must be willing to relocate to Bijaynagar.
