We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dairy Fitters Cum Welder to join our team at the dairy plant. The Dairy Fitters Cum Welder will be responsible for performing installation, maintenance, and repair work on dairy equipment and machinery, as well as carrying out welding tasks as required.
Key Accountabilities/Activities:
Installation and Maintenance:
· Install, assemble, and set up dairy equipment and machinery, such as pasteurizers, separators, pumps, and conveyors.
· Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting equipment to ensure optimal performance.
· Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions, identify the root cause of issues, and implement appropriate repairs.
Welding:
· Carry out welding tasks, such as fabricating and repairing metal components and structures using various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, ARC).
· Interpret technical drawings and specifications to determine welding requirements.
· Ensure high-quality welding workmanship, adhering to safety and quality standards.
Equipment Repair:
· Repair and replace faulty parts or components of dairy equipment, such as valves, fittings, seals, and pipes.
· Conduct regular inspections to identify potential issues and proactively address them to prevent breakdowns and production delays.
· Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment performance.
Safety and Compliance:
· Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
· Adhere to all relevant regulations and standards, including food safety, hygiene, and equipment maintenance guidelines.
· Report any safety concerns, incidents, or accidents to the appropriate supervisor.
Collaboration and Communication:
· Coordinate and communicate effectively with other team members and departments to ensure smooth workflow and efficient problem-solving.
· Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and maintenance personnel to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
Documentation:
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work orders, parts inventory, and equipment history.
· Complete relevant paperwork and documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
Work Relations:
Internal:
· Reporting to Maintenance Manager for all Functional as well as administrative purposes.
· Interface with Production, Quality Control Team, Maintenance, and Procurement teams
· Interface with HR teams.
External:
· Interface with various suppliers, repair Service Providers.
Qualification
Essential: ITI / XII / Graduate
Experience
Essential: Knowledge of working on Dairy Machinery
· Certified welder with a valid welding certificate.
· 3+ Years of experience as a fitter cum welder, preferably in the dairy or food processing industry.
· Proficient in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and ARC welding.
· Knowledge of dairy equipment and machinery, including pumps, pasteurizers, separators, and conveyors.
· Familiarity with technical drawings and specifications.
· Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
· Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
· Good communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks and lift heavy objects.
· Knowledge of safety procedures and willingness to adhere to them.
Work Environment: 24 X 6 (6 days a week)
