Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily rice mill operations from paddy intake to finished product dispatch.
- Plan and monitor production schedules to achieve daily output targets.
- Supervise machine operators, helpers, and other production staff.
- Ensure optimum utilization of machinery, manpower, and raw materials.
- Monitor the milling process to maintain quality standards for rice, bran, husk, and broken rice.
- Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, maintenance, and dispatch teams.
- Maintain daily production, stock, and shift reports.
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness of machines and the plant.
- Report machine breakdowns and coordinate with the maintenance team for timely repairs.
- Minimize production losses, wastage, and downtime.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Train and guide workers on standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality practices.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, and productivity of the workforce.
- Assist management in improving operational efficiency and reducing production costs.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agriculture, Food Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- Higher Secondary (12th) with relevant experience may also be considered.
Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in a rice mill or agro-processing industry.
- Experience in supervising rice milling operations is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of rice milling processes and machinery.
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to solve operational problems quickly.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Knowledge of quality control and inventory management.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel and reporting).
- Ability to work in shifts if required.
Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
