Job Description
We are seeking a passionate Junior UI/UX and Graphic Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills in creating intuitive and engaging user interfaces, as well as compelling graphic designs for various media. You will collaborate with senior designers and cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet high standards of usability, aesthetics, and visual communication.
Responsibilities
- UI/UX Design:
- Assist in creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps.
- Contribute to the design of user interfaces for web and mobile applications.
- Ensure consistency in design across all platforms (web, iOS, Android).
- Support rapid prototyping using tools such as Figma, Sketch, Etc.
- Graphic Design:
- Create engaging and on-brand graphics for a variety of media.
- Design marketing materials, including brochures, banners, social media graphics, and other promotional materials.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop visual content for campaigns.
- Maintain brand consistency throughout all design projects.
- Collaboration and Research:
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to implement innovative design solutions.
- Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to inform design decisions.
- Stay updated with the latest UI/UX and graphic design trends, techniques, and technologies.
Qualifications
- Experience:
- 0-2 years in UI/UX and Graphic Design (internships and freelance work are considered).
- Demonstrable design skills with a strong portfolio showcasing UI/UX designs and graphic design work.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree or a related field.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier, After effects, Animate).
- Familiarity with wireframing and prototyping tools (Figma, Sketch, etc.).
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap is a plus.
- Knowledge of web and mobile platforms (iOS, Android) and their design guidelines.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate design concepts.
- Strong creativity and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work within tight deadlines.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Added advantage on experience in startups is an added advantage.
- Added advantage on familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
