Job Summary
We are looking for a Civil Engineer to oversee and manage construction activities at our real estate projects. The candidate will be responsible for site supervision, execution of civil works, quality control, measurements, material planning, coordination with contractors and workers, and ensuring that work is completed according to approved drawings and specifications.
The ideal candidate should have practical knowledge of construction, site supervision, estimation, measurements, drawings, quantity calculations, and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day construction activities at the project site.
- Ensure construction work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and instructions.
- Monitor the quality of civil construction work.
- Check ongoing work including excavation, foundation, RCC, brickwork, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, and finishing activities.
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, masons, labourers, and other site workers.
- Plan and allocate daily work to contractors and workers.
- Monitor progress of work and ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Check dimensions, levels, alignment, and measurements at the site.
- Take measurements of completed work for contractor billing and records.
- Prepare and maintain daily site reports and progress reports.
- Maintain records of materials received, consumed, and required at the site.
- Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for timely availability of construction materials.
- Check materials for quality and quantity before use.
- Identify material requirements and communicate them to management.
- Minimize material wastage and ensure proper utilization of resources.
- Read and understand civil/architectural drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and management whenever required.
- Perform other civil engineering and site-related duties assigned by management.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of civil construction and site supervision.
- Knowledge of RCC, foundation, brickwork, plastering, flooring, waterproofing, and finishing work.
- Ability to read and understand civil and architectural drawings.
- Knowledge of construction measurements and quantity calculations.
- Basic knowledge of estimation and costing.
- Good knowledge of construction materials and their applications.
- Ability to coordinate with contractors and site workers.
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to maintain site records and prepare reports.
- Strong attention to quality and detail.
- Ability to manage multiple activities at the construction site.
Qualification
Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Experience
1–3 years of relevant experience preferred.
Candidates with practical site experience in residential construction, commercial construction or real estate projects will be preferred.
Freshers with strong practical knowledge and willingness to work on-site may also be considered.
