Job Summary
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring the safe, efficient, and accurate receipt, storage, handling, picking, packing, and dispatch of goods. The role involves managing warehouse staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing warehouse space, ensuring compliance with safety procedures, and coordinating with procurement, sales, logistics, and other departments.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise all daily warehouse operations.
- Plan and coordinate receiving, unloading, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch activities.
- Ensure goods are properly received, inspected, labeled, stored, and recorded.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock counts and physical inventory checks.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies, damages, shortages, and excess inventory.
- Optimize warehouse space, storage locations, and material movement.
- Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse staff.
- Prepare staff schedules and allocate daily duties effectively.
- Monitor employee productivity and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Coordinate with purchasing, sales, production, accounts, and transport teams to ensure smooth material flow.
- Ensure timely preparation and dispatch of customer and internal orders.
- Maintain proper documentation for receipts, issues, transfers, returns, and dispatches.
- Use warehouse management systems, ERP software, or inventory management systems to maintain accurate records.
- Ensure warehouse equipment, racks, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment are used safely and maintained properly.
- Implement and monitor workplace health and safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment.
- Monitor damaged, expired, obsolete, or slow-moving stock and report appropriately.
- Develop and monitor warehouse KPIs such as inventory accuracy, order accuracy, picking efficiency, stock loss, and on-time dispatch.
- Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs and improve warehouse efficiency.
- Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with company procedures and applicable regulations.
- Prepare regular warehouse and inventory reports for management.
- Handle other warehouse and logistics responsibilities assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma.
- 0–1 years of relevant warehouse experience, preferably including supervisory or managerial experience.
- Experience in inventory control and warehouse operations.
- Experience with inventory management software is preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and material-handling procedures.

Working Conditions
The Warehouse Manager will primarily work in a warehouse environment and may be required to spend significant time on the warehouse floor. The role may involve standing, walking, inspecting stock, supervising loading/unloading activities, and working flexible hours depending on operational requirements.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
