About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President – Human Resources to lead the entire HR function for our mining operations. The ideal candidate should be a native of or currently based in Tamil Nadu, with a strong willingness to relocate and work from Odisha or Jharkhand. The role requires extensive experience in HR leadership within the mining, metals, infrastructure, manufacturing, cement, steel, or heavy engineering sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning, Succession Planning, and Leadership Development.
- Drive employee engagement, organizational culture, and performance management.
- Ensure statutory compliance with labour laws, industrial relations, and mining regulations.
- Handle union management, disciplinary matters, grievance handling, and conflict resolution.
- Design compensation, benefits, and retention strategies for plant and corporate employees.
- Lead HR digitization, HR analytics, and process improvement initiatives.
- Partner with business leaders to support operational excellence across multiple project locations.
- Manage learning & development, competency mapping, and succession planning.
- Build and mentor a high-performing HR team.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Candidate should preferably be from Tamil Nadu.
- Must be willing to relocate and work in Odisha or Jharkhand.
- MBA/MSW/PGDM in Human Resources from a recognized institution.
- 18–25 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 8 years in a senior leadership role.
- Prior experience in Mining, Metals, Infrastructure, Cement, Steel, Manufacturing, or Heavy Engineering is mandatory.
- Strong knowledge of Industrial Relations, Labour Laws, Factory Act, Contract Labour Management, and Compliance.
- Proven experience in handling large workforces across multiple locations.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Exposure to HRMS, SAP HR, Oracle HCM, or similar enterprise HR systems will be an added advantage.
