Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Sales Manager – Meat & Poultry to lead our sales operations and drive business growth. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing sales strategies, expanding the customer base, managing key accounts, and achieving revenue targets across retail, wholesale, HORECA, and institutional segments.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Identify new business opportunities and expand market presence through customer acquisition and relationship management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, wholesalers, retailers, supermarkets, hotels, restaurants, caterers, and institutional clients.
- Manage the complete sales cycle, including lead generation, customer meetings, negotiations, order processing, and after-sales support.
- Lead, train, motivate, and monitor the performance of the sales team to maximize productivity and target achievement.
- Prepare sales forecasts, budgets, and business plans to support organizational growth.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer preferences, and pricing strategies to identify business opportunities.
- Coordinate with production, procurement, warehouse, and logistics teams to ensure timely product availability and deliveries.
- Ensure proper inventory planning and minimize stock shortages or product wastage.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, payment terms, and promotional activities while maintaining company profitability.
- Monitor customer satisfaction, resolve complaints, and maintain long-term customer relationships.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, hygiene, and cold chain standards during product distribution.
- Prepare and present daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports, performance analyses, and market insights to management.
- Monitor receivables and coordinate with the finance team for timely collections.
- Plan and execute promotional campaigns, product launches, trade exhibitions, and customer engagement activities.
- Achieve revenue growth while maintaining high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Food Technology, Agriculture, or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in sales, with at least 2–3 years in a managerial role within the Meat, Poultry, Food Processing, or FMCG industry.
- Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong knowledge of the meat and poultry market, distribution channels, and customer segments.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM/ERP software.
- Willingness to travel extensively for customer visits and business development.
