About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented QA Engineer who is skilled in both manual and automation testing. You will work closely with our development team to ensure high-quality releases through effective testing processes, automation frameworks, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web and mobile applications.
- Understand project requirements and identify test scenarios, test data, and test coverage.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing.
- Write and maintain automation scripts using tools such as Selenium / Playwright / Cypress / Appium (as applicable).
- Detect, document, and track defects using tools like JIRA / Bugzilla / Azure DevOps.
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily standups to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle.
- Ensure adherence to QA standards and best practices.
- Work collaboratively with developers and product teams to reproduce issues and validate fixes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in software testing (manual + automation).
- Strong understanding of STLC, SDLC, and defect management process.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium.
- Knowledge of test frameworks (JUnit, TestNG, PyTest, etc.) and CI/CD integration (Jenkins, GitLab, etc.).
- Experience with API testing using Postman, RestAssured, or similar tools.
- Good understanding of database testing (writing SQL queries).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Good to Have
- Experience in performance or security testing.
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git).
- Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies.
