Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced 5 Axis CAM Programmer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in 5 Axis CNC/VMC programming, CAM software, tool path generation, and machining processes. The candidate must be capable of developing efficient machining programs while ensuring quality and productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and optimize 5 Axis CNC/VMC programs using CAM software.
- Generate accurate tool paths for complex components.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, 3D models, and GD&T.
- Select suitable cutting tools, fixtures, and machining strategies.
- Optimize cycle time while maintaining quality standards.
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues.
- Coordinate with the Design, Production, and Quality teams.
- Ensure adherence to safety and manufacturing standards.
Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in 5 Axis CAM Programming.
- Strong knowledge of CNC/VMC machining processes.
- Proficiency in CAM software (PowerMill, HyperMill, Mastercam, NX CAM, or similar).
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
- Knowledge of cutting tools, tooling, feeds, and speeds.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in 5 Axis CAM Programming within a manufacturing environment.
