Job Summary
The School Transport Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising the school's transportation services to ensure the safe, timely, and efficient movement of students. The role includes managing bus operations, supervising drivers and attendants, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining effective communication with parents, school staff, and transport service providers.
Key ResponsibilitiesTransport Operations
- Plan and supervise the daily operation of all school buses.
- Prepare and monitor bus routes and schedules for efficiency and safety.
- Ensure students are picked up and dropped off on time.
- Coordinate transport arrangements for school events, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
Student Safety
- Ensure all students travel safely and follow school transport rules.
- Conduct regular safety inspections of buses before and after operations.
- Ensure emergency procedures are followed and safety equipment is available and functional.
- Investigate and report transport-related incidents or accidents.
Staff Supervision
- Supervise and support bus drivers, attendants, and transport staff.
- Prepare duty rosters and monitor attendance and punctuality.
- Conduct regular meetings and safety briefings.
- Evaluate staff performance and recommend training when required.
Vehicle Management
- Coordinate routine maintenance, servicing, and repairs of school buses.
- Maintain records of vehicle inspections, insurance, permits, fitness certificates, and pollution certificates.
- Ensure buses are clean, roadworthy, and compliant with legal requirements.
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate records of routes, student transport lists, driver licenses, vehicle documents, and daily transport logs.
- Ensure compliance with all government transport regulations and school policies.
- Prepare transport-related reports for the school administration.
Parent & School Communication
- Respond promptly to parent queries regarding transport services.
- Communicate route changes, delays, or emergencies to parents and school authorities.
- Work closely with school administrators, teachers, and security staff to ensure smooth transport operations.
Emergency Management
- Handle transport emergencies efficiently and calmly.
- Coordinate with emergency services, school authorities, and parents during accidents or breakdowns.
- Maintain updated emergency contact information for all transport users.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Experience in school transport, fleet management, logistics, or administration.
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and school transport guidelines.
- Valid driving licence (preferred but not mandatory).

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
