Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Project Manager to lead and manage social-impact projects from planning and implementation to monitoring, reporting and closure. The role will involve coordinating with internal teams, CSR partners, vendors, field teams and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered effectively, on time and within the approved scope and budget.
The ideal candidate should have strong project management, team coordination, documentation, communication and problem-solving skills, along with a genuine interest in the social-impact sector.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Plan, coordinate and manage projects from initiation to completion.
- Develop project plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables and implementation strategies.
- Ensure projects are executed as per approved objectives, budgets and timelines.
- Identify project risks, operational challenges and dependencies and take timely corrective action.
- Ensure effective coordination between field, program, CSR, accounts, HR, media and other relevant teams.
Team Management & Coordination
- Coordinate and supervise project teams, field staff, coordinators, trainers, consultants and other project personnel.
- Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance against project requirements.
- Conduct regular review meetings and follow up on pending activities.
- Support team members in resolving operational and implementation-related challenges.
Stakeholder & CSR Coordination
- Coordinate with CSR partners, donors, government representatives, implementing partners, vendors and community stakeholders.
- Act as a key point of contact for assigned projects.
- Understand partner requirements and ensure timely delivery of commitments.
- Participate in meetings, presentations and project review discussions with stakeholders.
Monitoring & Reporting
- Monitor project progress against defined KPIs, milestones and outcomes.
- Maintain project trackers, dashboards, MIS and other relevant records.
- Prepare periodic project progress reports, impact reports and management updates.
- Track beneficiary outreach, project activities, expenditure and key outcomes.
- Ensure proper documentation of project activities, photographs, attendance, beneficiary records and supporting documents.
Budget & Vendor Management
- Coordinate with the Accounts team for project budgets, expenses and financial tracking.
- Monitor project expenditure against approved budgets.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for project requirements.
- Support vendor finalisation, quotations, negotiations and documentation where required.
- Ensure project activities are delivered cost-effectively.
Quality & Compliance
- Ensure projects comply with organisational policies, CSR requirements, contractual commitments and applicable guidelines.
- Maintain proper project documentation for internal reviews, audits and donor/CSR reporting.
- Identify gaps in implementation and recommend process improvements.
- Support internal and external audits related to assigned projects.
Project Closure & Impact
- Ensure timely completion and closure of project activities.
- Conduct project reviews and document learnings and best practices.
- Prepare final project reports and impact documentation.
- Track outcomes and support the development of impact stories, case studies and success stories.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: 3–7 years of relevant experience in project management, NGO/social impact, CSR, development sector or related fields.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management, Social Work, Development Studies, Public Administration, or a related discipline.
- Strong project planning and execution skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Strong documentation, reporting and MIS skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Workspace and presentation/reporting tools.
- Willingness to travel for field visits and project monitoring as required.
- Prior experience working with CSR organisations, corporates, NGOs or government stakeholders will be an advantage.
