Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and highly organized Project Manager / Typesetter to oversee the day-to-day operations of our typesetting team and experienced in publishing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing project execution, ensuring timely delivery, maintaining quality standards, and leading a team of 20–25 members. The candidate should possess strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, supervise, and manage a team of 20–25 typesetters and quality analysts.
- Plan, allocate, and monitor daily work assignments to ensure timely project completion.
- Track project timelines, priorities, and deliverables while ensuring adherence to client deadlines.
- Conduct regular quality checks and ensure compliance with company and client guidelines.
- Coordinate with clients and internal departments to understand project requirements and communicate updates.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (preferred).
- 2–7 years of experience in project management, typesetting, publishing, or a similar production environment.
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing a team of 20–25 employees.
- Strong understanding of publishing, typesetting, formatting, and document production workflows.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and project tracking tools.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Proven experience in typesetting, preferably in the publishing industry.
- Proficiency in typesetting and publishing software (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign - Full Command, Adobe Illustrator)
- Strong attention to detail with excellent grammar, spelling, and formatting accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of eBook formatting and accessibility standards is a plus.
