Bakery ChefJob Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Bakery Chef to join our culinary team. The Bakery Chef will be responsible for preparing a wide range of high-quality bakery products, including breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, and desserts while maintaining consistency, hygiene, and food safety standards. The ideal candidate should be creative, detail-oriented, and capable of managing daily bakery operations efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and bake breads, cakes, pastries, cookies, desserts, and other bakery items.
- Develop new recipes and seasonal bakery products.
- Ensure consistent taste, quality, and presentation of all baked goods.
- Operate and maintain bakery equipment such as ovens, mixers, and proofers.
- Monitor inventory of ingredients and coordinate timely replenishment.
- Follow standard recipes and portion control to minimize waste.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery section.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Train and supervise junior bakery staff when required.
- Coordinate with the kitchen team to meet daily production and customer requirements.
- Ensure all bakery items are prepared and delivered on schedule.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bakery Chef, Baker, or Pastry Chef.
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and bakery equipment.
- Ability to produce a variety of breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work early morning, weekend, and holiday shifts.
- Creativity in recipe development and product presentation.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or certification in Bakery, Pastry, or Culinary Arts.
- 2–5 years of experience in a bakery, café, restaurant, or hotel bakery.
