Job Summary
The Weighbridge Operator is responsible for accurately weighing incoming and outgoing vehicles, maintaining weighbridge records, preparing weight slips, and ensuring smooth vehicle movement in accordance with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
Operate the computerized weighbridge system efficiently.
Weigh all incoming and outgoing trucks carrying raw materials, scrap etc.
Generate and issue weight slips to drivers.
Verify vehicle details, material type, and supporting documents before and after weighing.
Maintain accurate records of all weighment transactions.
Coordinate with the Production, Dispatch, Security, and Stores departments.
Ensure proper entry of data into ERP or Excel systems.
Report any weighbridge equipment malfunction to the maintenance team.
Monitor vehicle movement and avoid unauthorized weighing.
Follow company safety rules and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly weighbridge reports.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 10+2 (Higher Secondary); Diploma or Graduate preferred.
Basic knowledge of computers and MS Excel.
Experience with weighbridge software or ERP systems is an advantage.
Experience in a steel plant or manufacturing industry is preferred.
