ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a hands-on Plant Maintenance Engineer to manage the electrical and mechanical maintenance of our manufacturing facility. The role requires strong expertise in industrial electrical systems while also supporting routine mechanical maintenance activities to ensure smooth plant operations and maximum equipment uptime.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Plant Maintenance
1. Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant machinery.
2. Attend machine breakdowns and restore equipment within minimum downtime.
3. Monitor the overall health of plant equipment and report recurring issues.
4. Coordinate routine maintenance activities to ensure uninterrupted production.
Electrical Maintenance
1. Maintain and troubleshoot industrial electrical systems.
2. Perform maintenance of LT Panels, MCC Panels, Control Panels, Motors, Star-Delta Starters, Contactors, Relays and Electrical Distribution Systems.
3. Inspect and maintain transformers, DG Sets, earthing systems and power distribution equipment.
4. Carry out electrical installations, machine wiring, cable sizing, routing and panel modifications.
5. Ensure safe electrical practices and compliance with statutory requirements.
6. Recommend improvements for electrical safety, energy efficiency and system reliability.
Mechanical Maintenance
1. Perform routine maintenance of pumps, gearboxes, bearings, rotary equipment, valves, pipelines and pressure vessels.
2. Support machinery installation, alignment and commissioning activities.
3. Coordinate repairs and reinstallation of machinery after servicing.
4. Ensure proper lubrication and mechanical health of production equipment.
Utilities Maintenance
1. Responsible for operation and maintenance of: Cooling Tower, Chiller, RO Plant, Water Softener, Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), Underground Water Tank, Overhead Water Tank.
2. Maintain operating parameters and ensure timely chemical dosing wherever required.
Boiler Operations
1. Monitor boiler operation and routine maintenance.
2. Track fuel consumption and steam generation.
3. Ensure efficient steam utilization and utility performance.
4. Coordinate statutory inspections and maintenance activities whenever required.
5. Documentation & Compliance
6. Maintain preventive maintenance schedules.
7. Record maintenance history and equipment breakdown reports.
8. Maintain spare parts inventory.
9. Ensure compliance with safety procedures and maintenance SOPs.
10. Support audits related to maintenance and utilities.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
1. 3-7 year work experience
2. Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering (ITI with relevant industrial experience may also be considered
3. Strong knowledge of industrial electrical maintenance.
4. Hands-on experience with LT Panels, MCC Panels, Control Panels, Motors, Star-Delta Starters, Contactors, Relays, VFDs, and Transformers.
5. Understanding of single-phase and three-phase electrical systems. Knowledge of motor sizing, power-saving techniques, cable sizing, and industrial electrical installations.
6. Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical equipment independently.
7. Basic mechanical maintenance knowledge of pumps, gearboxes, bearings, rotary equipment, and utility systems.
8. Familiarity with boiler operations, cooling tower, RO Plant, Chiller, ETP, DG Set, and water treatment systems.
9. Ability to read electrical drawings and maintenance manuals.
10. Good problem-solving, planning, and communication skills.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
