Commis Chef | Job Description
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join our PVR cinema kitchen team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to build a career in the culinary industry and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist senior chefs in daily food preparation and cooking tasks
- Prepare ingredients including chopping, slicing, and marinating
- Ensure all dishes are prepared according to standard recipes and presentation guidelines
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen as per food safety standards
- Support stock management, storage, and inventory control
- Follow instructions from Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, and Head Chef
- Ensure proper handling and storage of all food items
- Help in receiving deliveries and checking quality of supplies
- Maintain kitchen equipment and report any issues

- Basic knowledge of cooking techniques and kitchen operations
- Culinary diploma or relevant training (preferred)
- Strong willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays
Pay: ₹16,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
