Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate EEG Technician to join our neurology team. You will be responsible for conducting electroencephalograms (EEGs) to record brain wave activity, assisting neurologists in diagnosing neurological conditions such as epilepsy, sleep disorders, and brain injuries.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for EEG procedures by explaining the test and taking brief medical histories.
- Measure and mark scalp points using the international 10-20 system and attach electrodes accurately.
- Operate and calibrate EEG equipment for routine, continuous, or video monitoring.
- Administer activation procedures like hyperventilation and photic stimulation during testing.
- Monitor patients closely during procedures, identify clinical events/seizures, and ensure safety.
- Clean raw EEG data, eliminate technical artifacts, and forward findings to the Neurologist.
- Maintain, clean, and sterilize electrodes and diagnostic equipment.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: B.Sc. in Neurotechnology / Diploma in EEG/Neurophysiology Technology (or equivalent).
- Experience: 0–3+ years of experience in a hospital or diagnostic lab setting (Freshers welcome if certified).
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of brain anatomy, 10-20 electrode placement, and EEG machinery.
- Skills: Strong patient care, attention to detail, basic computer proficiency, and good communication skills.
