Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly detail-oriented Packaging Artwork & Brand Execution Manager to serve as the final technical approval authority for all packaging artwork
Core Responsibilities
- Translate approved creative concepts into accurate, technically compliant, and production-ready packaging artwork.
- Conduct detailed artwork reviews before files are released for printing, decoration, component production, or mass manufacturing.
- Ensure all artwork is created using the latest approved supplier/manufacturer dieline and packaging specifications.
- Check all technical elements, including dimensions, bleed, trim, safe zones, folds, creases, glue areas, cut lines, print areas, and decoration boundaries.
- Review artwork files for correct layer structure, linked or embedded images, fonts, image resolution, transparency, trapping, overprint, and colour separation.
- Verify colour and finishing specifications, including CMYK, Pantone, spot colours, coatings, varnishes, foil, embossing, debossing, frosting, metallization, silk-screen printing, and other special effects.
- Confirm that packaging materials, printing processes, decoration methods, and finishing requirements are clearly defined and accurately reflected in the artwork.
- Verify barcode accuracy, size, placement, orientation, and production suitability.
- Cross-check all packaging copy—including ingredients, claims, directions, warnings, net contents, country-of-origin information, responsible-party details, and other mandatory information—against the latest approved source documents.
- Ensure all regulated text, claims, and mandatory information have received the required Regulatory approval before artwork is released.
- Verify that the artwork version corresponds correctly to the approved formula, product specification, SKU, customer, market, and packaging component.
- Review supplier proofs, colour proofs, mockups, and pre-production samples for layout, copy, colour, finishing, decoration placement, and technical accuracy.
- Maintain accurate artwork revision numbers, approval records, release dates, change histories, and supporting documentation.
- Establish strong artwork version control and ensure obsolete or superseded files are clearly identified, archived, and prevented from accidental use.
- Maintain a secure and organized master archive of approved production artwork and related approval documentation.
- Work closely with Graphic Design, Regulatory, NPI, Purchasing, Product Development, Operations, and external suppliers to resolve artwork-related issues.
- Communicate artwork corrections and technical requirements clearly to designers and suppliers and ensure all required changes are implemented before approval.
- Identify and escalate missing information, conflicting specifications, incorrect artwork, or production limitations before files are released.
- Ensure every final artwork release is complete, traceable, technically correct, and ready for production without ambiguity.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve the artwork approval process, version-control system, production accuracy, and packaging quality
Skills & Qualifications
- Relevant experience in packaging artwork, production artwork, prepress, or packaging execution; experience in cosmetics, beauty, skincare, personal care, or FMCG is highly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and strong working knowledge of CorelDRAW and Adobe Photoshop.
- Strong knowledge of print-ready artwork preparation, prepress, colour management, and packaging production processes.
- Practical understanding of dielines, bleeds, trims, safe areas, folds, glue areas, cut lines, trapping, overprint, transparency, and colour separation.
- Strong knowledge of CMYK, Pantone, spot colours, colour matching, and print specifications.
- Experience with packaging printing and finishing techniques
- Experience reviewing supplier proofs, colour proofs, mockups, and pre-production samples.
- Knowledge of barcode requirements, artwork copy verification, and packaging compliance processes.
- Strong understanding of artwork version control, file naming, approval workflows, and production documentation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across Design, Regulatory, NPI, Purchasing, Product Development, and supplier teams.
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
