Job Summary:
The RMC & Crusher Plant Incharge is responsible for the overall operation, maintenance, production, quality control, manpower management, and safety of the Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) Plant and Crusher Plant at the project site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and supervise the daily operations of the RMC and Crusher Plants.
- Ensure timely production of concrete and aggregates as per the project schedule.
- Monitor plant performance and optimize production efficiency.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, Planning Team, and Site Engineers to meet daily production targets.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans.
- Monitor production output against targets.
- Ensure concrete mix designs are produced according to approved specifications.
- Monitor aggregate grading, moisture content, and concrete quality.
- Coordinate with the Quality Control Laboratory for testing of materials.
- Plan preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant equipment.
- Coordinate with the Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance Teams
- Minimize equipment breakdowns and maximize plant availability.
- Monitor stock levels of cement, fly ash, aggregates, sand, admixtures, diesel, lubricants, and other consumables.
- Coordinate with the Procurement and Stores Departments for timely replenishment.
- Ensure quality of crushed materials as per project specifications.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies.
- Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings.
- Ensure compliance with environmental norms related to dust suppression, pollution control, noise, and waste management.
- Conduct training and skill development activities.
- Monitor attendance, discipline, and performance of the plant workforce.
- Record plant breakdowns and maintenance logs.
- Monitor fuel and power consumption.
- Maintain equipment utilization reports.
Educational Qualification:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering.
- Additional certification in RMC Plant Operations or Crusher Plant Management is preferred.
Experience:
- 8–15 years of experience in RMC and Crusher Plant operations.
- Minimum 5 years in Road & Highway Construction Projects.
- Experience with NHAI, MSRDC, PWD, EPC, HAM, or BOT projects is preferred.
Preferred Industry Experience:
- National Highway Projects
- Expressway Projects
- State Highway Projects
- Road Construction Contractors
