Job Overview
We are looking for a results-driven Territory Manager to drive sales growth, strengthen distribution, and manage traditional trade operations within the assigned territory. The role requires achieving sales targets, expanding market presence, and leading distributor and field sales activities.
Key Responsibilities
-Achieve monthly and annual primary & secondary sales targets.
-Develop and expand distributor network and retail coverage.
-Monitor secondary sales and ensure execution through the sales team.
-Plan and execute sales activities, trade schemes, and promotional campaigns.
-Build strong relationships with distributors and key retailers.
-Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and identify growth opportunities.
-Ensure adherence to company policies, sales processes, and credit norms.
-Coach, guide, and monitor distributor salesmen and field staff to improve performance.
Qualification
-Bachelor's degree in any discipline (B. Com, BBA, BBM, BA, B.Sc., or equivalent).
-MBA/PGDM in Sales, Marketing, or Business Management will be an added advantage.
Skills
-Strong communication and negotiation skills.
-Leadership and team management abilities.
-Problem-solving and decision-making mindset.
-Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Candidate Profile
-5–8 years of experience in Traditional Trade sales, preferably in FMCG.
-Minimum 2–3 years of experience handling an independent sales territory.
-Strong understanding of distributor management and market development.
-Good knowledge of trade marketing and sales execution.
-Proficient in MS Excel and sales reporting tools.
