01The actual work
What will you actually do as a Database Administrator at CryptoMize?
01
Build and maintain high-availability, high-quality database systems sized to each platform's real access patterns — not its wishlist
02
Own backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery posture for the intelligence estate, with restore drills that are tested, not assumed
03
Monitor user access and security: role design, least-privilege enforcement, and audit logging that would satisfy a paranoid client — because it has to
04
Manage performance end-to-end — capacity planning, index strategy, query-plan review — on corpora analysts hammer daily
05
Design and implement schemas for new engagement data, balancing normalization judgment against query reality
06
Carry production on-call for the database layer, with incident command and blameless postmortems on the rare occasions the estate disagrees with us
07
Drive the migration discipline: schema changes on live intelligence stores ship through reviewed, reversible steps — you own that pipeline's integrity
08
Capacity-plan with the platform teams: the estate grows with every engagement, and its headroom is forecast, not discovered, backups restored in drills, not just scheduled
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Database Administrator at CryptoMize you will build and maintain high-availability, high-quality database systems based on each platform's specialized function: designing and implementing schemas from information requirements, minimizing downtime through managed parameters and tested recovery paths, and monitoring performance so the analytical teams never wait on the estate. You will monitor user access and enforce security to a standard appropriate for client-adjacent intelligence.
You will own the backup and recovery posture end-to-end — including the drill cadence that keeps restores real — and carry production on-call for the database layer. When incidents occur, you lead diagnosis, recovery, and the blameless postmortem that makes the estate smarter. The 99.9999%-uptime figure we publish is yours to defend.
