- Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to drive business growth and achieve revenue targets in the marine fuel testing industry.
- Identify and target potential clients, such as shipping companies, fuel suppliers, ports, and other relevant entities involved in the marine industry.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their fuel testing needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Lead the sales team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure sales objectives are met or exceeded.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, customer preferences, and competitive analysis, using insights to drive effective marketing campaigns.
- Plan and execute marketing initiatives, including digital marketing campaigns, industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to promote the company's fuel testing services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as laboratory operations and technical experts, to ensure efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Monitor sales performance, analyse data, and generate reports for management, providing insights on sales trends, customer feedback, and areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on industry regulations and standards related to marine fuel quality and testing, ensuring compliance and providing guidance to clients.
- Develop and manage the sales and marketing budget, optimizing resources and tracking ROI on marketing initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A background in marine engineering or knowledge of marine fuels is advantageous.
- Proven experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the marine fuel testing industry or a related field.
- Strong understanding of marine fuel quality standards, testing methods, and relevant regulations such as ISO 8217.
- Demonstrated ability to provide guidance, lead and motivate a sales team, driving results and achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a customer-centric mindset.
- Proficiency in market research and analysis, using data-driven insights to guide sales and marketing strategies.
- Knowledge of digital marketing tools and platforms, including website management, content marketing, SEO, and email marketing.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate the value proposition of fuel testing services.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in a dynamic and competitive industry, with a willingness to travel as needed.
