The Auto Electrician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems in commercial vehicles and heavy equipment. The role requires troubleshooting electrical faults, ensuring vehicle safety, and maintaining high standards of workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose electrical and electronic faults using diagnostic tools and multimeters.
- Repair and replace faulty wiring, switches, relays, sensors, fuses, and electrical components.
- Install and maintain batteries, alternators, starter motors, lighting systems, and charging systems.
- Diagnose and repair issues related to ECU, CAN bus systems, and vehicle electronics.
- Perform preventive maintenance on vehicle electrical systems.
- Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
- Conduct testing after repairs to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain service records and job cards accurately.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
- Coordinate with mechanical technicians to resolve complex vehicle issues.
Required Qualifications
- ITI in Automobile Electrical, Electrician, or equivalent technical qualification.
- Certification in automotive electrical systems is an added advantage.
Experience
- 3–5 years of experience as an Auto Electrician.
- Experience with commercial vehicles, trucks, buses, or heavy vehicles is preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems.
- Ability to use diagnostic scanners and electrical testing equipment.
- Understanding of vehicle wiring diagrams.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of battery management and charging systems.
- Basic computer skills for diagnostic software.
- Teamwork and effective communication.
Pay: Up to ₹30,000.00 per month
