Contract Finalization: Lead engagement with clients, main contractors, and vendors to review, negotiate, and finalize contract terms.
Issue Resolution: Act as the primary escalation point for resolving contractual disputes and commercial issues with customers, contractors, and suppliers.
Stakeholder & Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders and client commercial representatives.
Scope & Claims Management: Identify, document, and manage extra work claims, variations, and scope changes to protect financial interests.
Risk Control: Maintain comprehensive risk registers, perform contingency calculations, and design actionable mitigation measures.
Contract Reviews & Audits: Conduct periodic contract review meetings, track compliance, and ensure meticulous contractual documentation.
Insurances & Guarantees: Oversee the issuance, maintenance, and tracking of Bank Guarantees (BGs), Letters of Credit (LCs), and project insurance policies.
Project Closure: Oversee end-to-end commercial closures, ensuring statutory compliance, settlement of outstanding liabilities, and financial ledger closure.
Legal & Dispute Resolution: Represent the employer’s interests in arbitration, mediation, and formal dispute proceedings.
Budgetary Control: Oversee annual and mid-term budget planning, tracking variances and maintaining strict controls.
Cash Flow & Capital Management: Manage payables, receivables, and working capital to maintain healthy cash flow and achieve revenue recognition targets.
Treasury Operations: Handle banking relationships, escrow accounts, BGs, and LCs.
Site Functions & Audits: Direct site Finance & Accounting (F&A) and stores, ensuring accurate material reconciliation, inventory controls, and physical verification.
Statutory & Tax Compliance: Ensure adherence to local site regulations (e.g., BOCW, Royalty), indirect tax laws, import duties, and customs documentation.
Logistics & Import Oversight: Facilitate international and domestic logistics and manage import-export documentation.
Education: BE /BTech with MBA /ICWA will be added advantage
Experience: 20 years of commercial and contractual management experience within the construction or infrastructure sectors.
Domain Knowledge: Deep understanding of construction contracts (FIDIC, standard forms), FIDIC claims processes, dispute management, and arbitration.
Financial Acumen: Proven expertise in project accounting, cost engineering, P&L management, working capital management, and statutory tax laws.
Skills: High-level negotiation abilities, analytical mindset, proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP/Oracle), and executive-level communication skills.
