Melting Supervisor – Foundry
Location: SF No. 820/1 & 2, Samanaickenpalayam Post, Press Colony, Tamil Nadu – 641019

Job Responsibilities
- Supervise daily melting operations to meet production schedules.
- Operate and monitor induction furnace melting processes.
- Ensure correct charge mix, alloy additions, and chemical composition.
- Monitor furnace temperature, pouring temperature, and melt quality.
- Coordinate with Molding, Quality, and Production departments for smooth operations.
- Minimize metal loss and optimize furnace productivity.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Maintain melting records, heat logs, and production reports.
- Train and supervise furnace operators and melting helpers.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S practices in the melting section.
Requirements
- Diploma/B.E. in Mechanical, Metallurgical, or related Engineering discipline.
- 3–8 years of experience in the melting section of a CI/SG Iron Foundry.
- Hands-on experience with medium-frequency induction furnaces.
- Knowledge of charge calculation, alloy additions, spectrometer results, and melt quality control.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts.
