Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented area sales manager to drive sales and business development for our medical devices across the Mumbai region (Western & Central). The candidate will be responsible for managing both B2B and B2C sales, developing strong relationships with doctors, hospitals, clinics, distributors, dealers, and end customers while achieving assigned sales targets. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in the medical device industry, an established network of healthcare professionals, and excellent market knowledge of Mumbai.
Key Roles & Responsibilities: Sales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase market share.
- Identify new business opportunities in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, diagnostic centers, and healthcare institutions.
- Promote and sell the company's medical devices through both B2B and B2C channels.
- Expand the customer base by acquiring new doctors, hospitals, dealers, distributors, and institutional clients.
- Increase product penetration within the assigned territory.
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with doctors, surgeons, hospitals, healthcare professionals, and key decision-makers.
- Regularly meet healthcare professionals to promote products and generate business.
- Maintain excellent customer service and ensure long-term client retention.
- Develop and maintain a strong database of doctors, hospitals, distributors, and key healthcare contacts.
Channel & Distributor Management
- Appoint, develop, and manage distributors, dealers, and channel partners.
- Monitor distributor performance and ensure achievement of sales objectives.
- Provide product training and sales support to channel partners.
- Resolve channel-related issues promptly.
Candidate Requirements: Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Pharmacy, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or any relevant discipline.
- MBA in Sales/Marketing will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in medical device sales, with at least 2–3 years in an area sales manager or similar leadership role.
- Prior experience in the medical device industry is mandatory.
- Strong network and existing relationships with doctors, hospitals, clinics, healthcare institutions, and distributors in Mumbai.
- Thorough knowledge of the Mumbai healthcare market, especially Western and Central Mumbai.
- Experience handling both B2B and B2C sales is essential.
- Experience in handling institutional sales, channel sales, and direct customer sales.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Mumbai.

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
