JOB PROFILE OF PROJECT & MAINTENANCE ENGINEER
Education & Experience Required:
- B. Tech (Mechanical/Electrical) required
- Must have a minimum of 7-9 Years’ experience in Pharma Projects and
maintenance.
Responsibilities & Duties:
1. Responsible for Mechanical breakdown diagnosis of plant equipment and utility
equipment (DG, Chiller, Compressor, Boilers, ETP, WTP, Fire system and HVAC
System, UPS, LT/HP, Panel, Transformer, PA System, etc).
2. Preparing the CAPEX & OPEX budgets and annual utility consumption plan.
3. Sourcing and managing the AMC contracts for utilities (DG, Chiller, Compressor,
Boilers, ETP, WTP, Fire system and HVAC System, UPS, LT/HP, Panel, Transformer, PA
System etc)
4. Manage the QMS activities for the department, including change control, deviation, risk
assessment, training and audits.
5. Inspecting facilities periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
6. Responsible for maintaining stock of tool kit and spare items.
7. Maintaining Preventive Maintenance of Utility & plant machinery as per schedule
and allocation of work for the same.
8. Co-ordination with all departments in plant production, QA, QC, Store, Personnel
and Administration related to mechanical maintenance.
9. Manage daily operations, ensuring that the organisation operates smoothly on a daily
basis.
10. Handling Pharma machines and Mechanical Utilities.
11. Ability to use hand tools and power tools, Welding machine and fault-testing
equipment.
12. Proficient in the use of test meters and other diagnostic equipment.
13. Handling & supervising the electrical teamday-to-day for day-to-day work.
14. Inviting various quotations from various vendors for AMC & Services, prepare the
Quote comparisons for approval.
15. Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
16. Identify and evaluate contractors and equipment suppliers, manage tendering and
bid evaluation. Negotiate commercial and technical contracts. Monitor contractor
performance.
17. Ensure contractor compliance with safety and quality standards. Having good skills
to prepare a BOQ for mechanical & electrical work, including execution strategies.
18. Expertise in project activities, measurement, calculation & raising the running bills.
19. Good knowledge of AutoCAD. Drawings/Layout Review & Modification as per new
changes.
20. Prepare and analyse all parts/equipment within Techno-commercial evaluation after
getting the offers from different vendors.
21. Knowledge of utilities: DG, Chiller, Air Compressor, Boiler, ETP, HVAC, water system &
Plant machinery.
22. Review P&ID, Flow diagram, design memorandum, system sizing calculation,
processing notice of system and specification of equipment /parts for supplier &
user department
23. Involved in all stages of projects from conceptualisation, schematic design, and
detail design, tender documentation review to construction.
24. Prepare and update regulatory drawings required for FDA, DISH, MSEDCL, MHRA,
USFDA, etc audits.
25. Ensuring smooth progress and completion of projects within cost, time, and the
highest quality standards.
26. Good experience in managing & handling the project vendors, Coordinators, Safety,
workplace consultants, construction team at site.
27. Knowledge of Pharma machine installation & commissioning and maintenance.
28. To prepare and update Engineering SOPs as per cGMP and other documents, i.e.,
URS, DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ as per cGMP.
29. Supervise the day-to-day project site activities, task assignments and performance
for all agencies involved in the project as per approved engineering drawings & site
manpower.
30. Monitor project progress and suggest/implement corrective actions where
necessary.
31. Responsible for establishing project scope & schedule, planning, coordinating, and
managing projects to meet the milestones within the approved timeline and budget
without compromising the quality objectives.
32. Coordinate procurement of manufacturing and utility equipment. Oversee
installation activities. Ensure proper alignment with project timelines. Coordinate
Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
33. Manage installation and commissioning of: HVAC systems, Water systems (PW,
WFI), Steam systems, Compressed air, Nitrogen systems, Electrical distribution, DG
sets, Boilers, Chillers, Cooling towers, Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), Fire protection
systems, Building Management System (BMS), Environmental Monitoring Systems
(EMS
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,300,000.00 per year
