The Cyber Security team is responsible for securing the internal IT infrastructure used by Deloitte professionals, with a focus on servers, cloud, storage, and data centers for Deloitte Australia. In addition to supporting core infrastructure, this role will play a critical part in embedding security by design across cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and Kubernetes environments.
Work you'll do
As a Cyber cloud security architect on the MF AUS cyber security team, you will be responsible for:

Lead the design and implementation of security architectures across Deloitte’s hybrid cloud infrastructure, including virtualized networking and Kubernetes environments

Define and embed security controls into cloud platforms, automation solutions, and continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines to advance DevSecOps practices

Conduct security architecture reviews for infrastructure, cloud, application, and artificial intelligence (AI) solutions and provide guidance on risk mitigation and control design

Establish security standards, patterns, and monitoring strategies for cloud-native and enterprise infrastructure environments

Lead project delivery, stakeholder discussions, and mentoring activities to support secure, compliant, and scalable technology outcomes
The team
The MF AUS cyber security team helps secure the internal technology environment that supports Deloitte professionals and business operations. The team focuses on cloud, infrastructure, platform, and data center security while partnering with technology stakeholders to embed security into architecture and delivery decisions. This role works across complex enterprise environments to help strengthen security by design, operational resilience, and risk management.

Shift Timings: 06:30 AM to 03:30 PM
Qualifications
Required:

9-12 years of experience in information technology infrastructure, cloud architecture, or security architecture roles

Experience architecting security solutions in large, complex enterprise environments

Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

Experience designing and securing Kubernetes platforms and containerized workloads
-
Experience implementing DevSecOps practices, including secure continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
-
Experience with identity and access management (IAM), encryption, network segmentation, zero trust architecture, and least-privilege access models

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, information technology, computer science, or equivalent
Preferred:

Multi-cloud experience across AWS, Azure, and GCP

Professional certification in cloud architecture or cloud security, such as AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer, or Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)

Experience with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi

Experience with security scanning and testing tools for containers, pipelines, and cloud services, such as Prisma Cloud, Aqua Security, Snyk, or SonarQube

Experience with artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) security considerations, including model security, data protection, and secure deployment patterns

Experience with cloud security frameworks such as NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), Center for Internet Security (CIS) Controls, or ISO 27001
