Job Overview
Gateway International School is seeking a passionate and experienced IBDP Language and Literature Facilitator who is well-versed in IB pedagogy, inquiry-based learning, and interdisciplinary teaching approaches. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of literary analysis, language studies, and critical thinking methodologies to guide students through the IB Language A: Language and Literature course.
Key Responsibilities
IBDP Teaching & Learning:
- Deliver engaging and inquiry-driven lessons aligned with IBDP Language and Literature objectives.
- Guide students in the critical analysis of literary and non-literary texts across various genres, cultures, and time periods.
- Encourage independent thinking, global perspectives, and comparative literary studies.
Assessment & Evaluation:
- Prepare students for Internal Assessments (IA), Paper 1, Paper 2, and the HL Essay.
- Provide continuous formative and summative assessments with constructive feedback.
- Support students in oral presentations, textual analysis, and written responses.
IB Core Component Integration:
- Assist students in connecting their coursework with TOK (Theory of Knowledge) concepts.
- Encourage engagement with Extended Essays (EE) and CAS (Creativity, Activity, Service).
Classroom & Student Engagement:
- Foster a discussion-based learning environment that enhances students' communication and argumentation skills.
- Integrate technology, multimedia, and global perspectives into lessons.
- Guide students in academic honesty and proper research methodologies.
Collaboration & Professional Development:
- Work closely with IB coordinators and faculty to align subject teaching with IB philosophy.
- Participate in IB workshops, training, and professional development sessions.
- Engage in cross-disciplinary collaborations with other subject teachers.
Skills and Qualifications
- Educational Background: Master’s degree in English, Literature, or Linguistics with a teaching qualification (B.Ed, PGCE, or equivalent).
- IB Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of teaching IBDP Language and Literature (preferred).
- Technology Proficiency: Experience using learning management systems (LMS), digital resources, and research tools.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to facilitate literary discussions and textual analysis.
- Assessment Expertise: Skilled in preparing students for IB assessments and reflective writing tasks.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
