Qualification:
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
- Additional certification in Electrical Safety/Solar PV is an added advantage.
Salary: ₹35,000 – ₹45,000 per month (Based on experience & qualifications)
Job Summary
The Site In-Charge will be responsible for the overall operation, maintenance, safety, manpower management, and performance optimization of the Solar Power Plant. The role requires ensuring maximum plant availability, efficient maintenance execution, regulatory compliance, and coordination with utilities, OEMs, and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
Plant Operations
- Ensure safe and uninterrupted operation of the Solar Power Plant.
- Monitor SCADA, inverters, transformers, HT/LT panels, switchyard, and protection systems.
- Maintain optimum plant generation and availability.
- Monitor Performance Ratio (PR), Capacity Utilization Factor (CUF), Plant Load Factor (PLF), and specific yield.
Operations & Maintenance
- Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Ensure timely breakdown maintenance to minimize generation loss.
- Prepare annual maintenance schedules.
- Coordinate with OEMs for warranty claims and major repairs.
Team Management
- Lead site engineers, technicians, housekeeping, and security personnel.
- Assign daily maintenance activities and monitor completion.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and toolbox meetings.
- Maintain attendance and discipline of site staff.

Safety & Compliance
- Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety standards.
- Implement Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures.
- Ensure use of PPE by all employees and contractors.
- Conduct safety training, emergency drills, and incident investigations.
Plant Performance Monitoring
- Analyze daily generation and identify generation losses.
- Investigate equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
- Improve plant efficiency through continuous monitoring.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare Daily Generation Reports (DGR).
- Maintain monthly generation reports.
- Maintain maintenance logs, downtime reports, inspection reports, and safety records.
- Submit MIS reports to management.
Grid Coordination
- Coordinate with DISCOM/SLDC for shutdown approvals.
- Monitor export meter readings.
- Ensure compliance with grid regulations.
Vendor & Contractor Management
- Supervise contractors performing cleaning, civil, and electrical works.
- Verify work quality before certification.
- Approve work completion reports.
Inventory & Asset Management
- Maintain inventory of critical spares.
- Conduct periodic asset verification.
- Ensure proper storage and preservation of plant materials.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
