Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Engineer to manage the operation and maintenance of our Reach Stacker (RST) and Trailer fleet, oversee day-to-day equipment performance at Port/ICD/CFS sites, and coordinate spare parts procurement to ensure minimal downtime and maximum equipment availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee operation and preventive/breakdown maintenance of Reach Stackers (RST), Trailers, and other yard equipment
- Ensure equipment uptime and availability targets are met as per client/contractual SLAs
- Coordinate with operations teams at Ports, ICD, and CFS for smooth container handling and cargo movement
- Plan and manage procurement of spare parts, consumables, and tyres — including vendor coordination, inventory levels, and cost control
- Maintain equipment logs, service history, and breakdown/downtime reports
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements at operational sites
- Liaise with OEM service teams (SANY, Kalmar, XCMG, etc.) for technical support and warranty issues
- Support cost optimization through efficient maintenance planning and spare parts management
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Automobile/Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- Hands-on experience with Reach Stacker and Trailer operations & maintenance
- Working knowledge of Port, ICD, and CFS operations
- Understanding of container logistics and yard management
- Experience in spare parts procurement, vendor management, and inventory control
- Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on, field-ready approach
- Good communication and coordination skills for multi-site/team coordination
Preferred
- Prior experience in container freight/logistics industry
- Familiarity with OEM brands such as SANY, Kalmar, XCMG
- Experience working with CONCOR, DP World, or similar terminal operators
