Prometric & NCLEX Trainer
Job Summary
The Prometric & NCLEX Trainer is responsible for preparing healthcare professionals, particularly nurses, to successfully pass Prometric licensing examinations and the NCLEX-RN/NCLEX-PN. The trainer delivers engaging classroom and online instruction, develops study materials, evaluates learner progress, and provides individualized coaching to maximize examination success.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive training sessions for Prometric and NCLEX candidates.
- Develop lesson plans, study schedules, mock tests, and revision materials.
- Teach nursing concepts aligned with current NCLEX and Prometric examination blueprints.
- Train students in critical thinking, clinical judgment, and test-taking strategies.
- Conduct regular assessments, quizzes, and full-length mock examinations.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback and individualized mentoring.
- Identify students requiring additional academic support and implement remedial coaching.
- Stay updated with changes in NCLEX, Prometric, and international nursing standards.
- Maintain accurate attendance, assessment, and performance records.
- Collaborate with academic coordinators to improve training quality and student outcomes.
- Guide students on exam registration procedures and preparation timelines.
- Foster a positive, motivating, and professional learning environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.Sc. Nursing) required; Master's degree preferred.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- NCLEX-RN qualification preferred.
- Prometric examination qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum 2–5 years of clinical nursing and/or nursing education experience.
- Experience in coaching NCLEX and Prometric candidates is highly desirable.
Required Skills
- Excellent teaching and presentation skills.
- Strong knowledge of medical-surgical nursing, pharmacology, pediatrics, maternity, psychiatric nursing, and community health nursing.
- Expertise in clinical judgment and evidence-based nursing practice.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to simplify complex nursing concepts.
- Strong mentoring and motivational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and online teaching platforms.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Working Conditions
