Job Summary
The SMT Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring Surface Mount Technology (SMT) production equipment to ensure efficient, high-quality PCB assembly. The role involves machine setup, loading components, monitoring production, performing basic inspections, and maintaining equipment according to quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate SMT production equipment, including screen printers, pick-and-place machines, and reflow ovens.
- Load feeders and electronic components according to the production schedule and BOM.
- Perform machine setup and changeovers for different product models.
- Monitor machine performance and resolve minor operational issues.
- Conduct first-piece and in-process visual inspections to ensure product quality.
- Identify and report machine faults, component shortages, or quality issues.
- Maintain production records, machine logs, and traceability documentation.
- Follow ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) and IPC quality standards.
- Perform routine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance on SMT equipment.
- Maintain 5S standards and comply with all safety procedures.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, ITI, Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification.
- 1–3 years of experience operating SMT machines (freshers may be considered for trainee positions).
- Experience with SMT equipment such as Fuji, Yamaha, Panasonic, Juki, ASM, or Samsung/Hanwha machines is preferred.
- Basic understanding of PCB assembly and electronic components.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts.

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹550,000.00 per year
