Job Purpose
The Senior Mould Designer is responsible for designing high-quality and hign precision plastic injection moulds based on customer requirements and ensuring the design is suitable for manufacturing, assembly, and production. The role also includes coordinating with all departments, guiding junior designers, and supporting successful mould trials.
Key Responsibilities
- Design complete plastic injection moulds using NX software.
- Study and understand customer part models, drawings, and technical requirements before starting the design.
- Prepare 3D mould assemblies and 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Design all mould systems, including cooling, ejection, runner, gating, sliders, lifters, etc...
- Select standard mould components and prepare the Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Coordinate with CNC, VMC, EDM, Wire Cut, Assembly, and Quality departments during manufacturing.
- Resolve design-related issues during machining, assembly, and mould trials.
- Attend customer design review meetings and implement required modifications.
- Ensure mould designs follow company standards, customer specifications, and manufacturing best practices.
- Guide and support junior mould designers in daily work.
- Verify and approve designs before release for manufacturing.
- Maintain proper design documentation and revision records.
- Complete design work within the planned project schedule.
- Support continuous improvement activities within the design department.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of plastic injection mould design.
- Good understanding of mould manufacturing and assembly processes.
- Ability to independently design complex moulds.

- Leadership and team guidance skills.
Software Knowledge
- Siemens NX (Preferred)
- AutoCAD
- Microsoft Office
Qualification
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Tool & Die Making, or equivalent.
Experience
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in plastic injection mould design.
- Experience in medical, pharma,packaging, or precision moulds will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities as Senior Team Member
- Ensure designs are released on time without errors.
- Support production departments until mould completion.
- Train and mentor junior designers.
- Maintain company design standards and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams for smooth project execution.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
