About the role
We run a group of established businesses across LPG distribution, fuel retail, and food. We are looking for one dependable person to own our day-to-day operations end-to-end — someone the owner can hand a job to and simply not think about again, because it will come back complete, correct, and closed.
This is not a data-entry or task role. This is a trust role. You will be the person who catches the problem before it reaches the owner, who notices when a document or a number "doesn't look right," and who chases every job to a clean finish. If you are the kind of person who finishes what you start and hates leaving things half-done, this role is built for you.
What you will own
- Documentation & compliance: bank paperwork, GST, licenses, official filings — prepared correctly, checked for the right details (e.g. firm type, names, figures), and submitted with acknowledgement collected.
- Procurement & stock: ordering material and rations, verifying quantity received against the bill, and ensuring records/books are filled accurately every time.
- Vendor & bank coordination: dealing with banks, suppliers, and officials — and having the judgment to flag anything that looks wrong instead of proceeding blindly.
- Team supervision: guiding and following up with junior operations staff so their work comes back complete, not incomplete.
- Closing the loop: making sure nothing sits half-finished. Every job is either done-with-proof, or clearly flagged as stuck-with-a-reason.
Who we're looking for
- You have 3–6 years of real back-office / operations experience — ideally in a distributorship, auto dealership, petrol pump, retail franchise, or accounting firm — where you handled bank work, documentation, and vendor coordination yourself.
- You understand basic business paperwork — the difference between a partnership and a company, why the right stamp/signature matters, why a mismatched name or figure is a red flag.
- You are detail-obsessed and completion-driven. Incomplete work genuinely bothers you.
- You can manage and follow up with junior staff without needing to be chased yourself.
- You think before you act — if something looks off, you stop and check rather than pushing it through.
Qualifications
- B.Com (or equivalent commerce background). MBA in Operations is a plus but not required.
- Comfortable with WhatsApp, basic Excel/Google Sheets, and willing to learn our digital tools.
- Fluent in Hindi and Punjabi; working English.
- Two-wheeler / own transport preferred.
Compensation & growth
₹35,000–₹50,000 per month depending on experience and capability. This is a role with real ownership and room to grow into a senior operations leadership position as our businesses expand.
How to apply
We care more about how you think than about a polished CV.
Along with your resume, please answer this in 3–4 lines:
A staff member submits our firm's papers to a bank. The bank officer starts processing them as if we are a private limited company — but we are actually a partnership firm. Our staff member notices nothing and lets it proceed. What would you have done differently, and why does it matter?
Applications that answer this question thoughtfully will be prioritised. Please send your resume and answer to [email protected]
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
