As a
Supply Chain Manager, youll lead the development and execution of supplier management strategies, ensuring the effective onboarding, governance, performance, and optimisation of NES Fircrofts global supplier network. - Strategic Planning: Develop and implement supply chain strategies that improve efficiency, service delivery, scalability, and cost effectiveness.
- Supplier Management: Oversee supplier selection, onboarding, relationship management, performance monitoring, and ongoing compliance activities.
- Contract Negotiation: Lead supplier negotiations to secure favourable commercial terms while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Team Leadership: Manage and develop the Supply Chain Management team, promoting collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Process Optimisation: Standardise and improve internal processes to enhance operational efficiency and support business growth.
- Performance Management: Establish supplier KPIs, monitor performance, and implement corrective actions where required.
- Risk Management: Identify supply chain risks, develop mitigation strategies, and create contingency plans for critical suppliers.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations, Finance, Quality, Legal, HR, and other stakeholders to align supplier capabilities with business needs.
- Cost Management: Drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high levels of service quality and supplier performance.
- Supplier Audits & Compliance: Conduct supplier reviews, audits, and assessments to ensure adherence to company standards, legal requirements, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Governance & Best Practice: Define and implement supplier management strategies, controls, and best practices across the organisation.

- Qualifications: Masters degree or relevant professional certification (CIPS, CPSM, CSCP, or equivalent).
- Supply Chain Experience: 5+ years of supplier, vendor, procurement, or supply chain management experience.
- Leadership Skills: Experience managing teams and driving performance across supplier management functions.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong negotiation, contract management, and cost optimisation expertise.
- Global Supplier Knowledge: Experience working with international suppliers and global supply chains.
- Analytical Ability: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret supplier performance data and identify improvements.
- Technical Knowledge: Experience using procurement platforms, supplier management tools, and ERP systems.
- Compliance & Governance: Understanding of contract law, supplier governance, risk management, and sourcing best practices.
- Relationship Builder: Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Sustainability Focus: Knowledge of ethical sourcing, sustainability principles, and supplier compliance standards is highly desirable.
