Job Title: VMC Operator – Tool Room
Location: Bhosari, Pune
Employment Type: Full-Time (12-Hour Shift)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented VMC Operator to join our Tool Room team. You will be responsible for setting up and operating VMC machines, maintaining dies, and manufacturing high-precision components.
Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up and operate Vertical Machining Centers (VMC) for tool room components, jigs, fixtures, and dies.
- Drawing Interpretation: Read and interpret 2D engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D models to establish appropriate machining sequences.
- Programming & Setups: Select tooling, set offsets, and edit basic machine programs (Fanuc / Siemens / Mitsubishi) as needed.
- Quality Inspection: Inspect finished components using Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Maintenance & Standards: Support tool/die modifications, perform routine machine maintenance, and uphold safety and 5S standards on the shop floor.
Required Qualifications
- Proven hands-on experience operating VMC machines in a tool room environment.
- Functional knowledge of basic CNC/VMC programming and editing.
- Clear understanding of technical drawings, GD&T symbols, tool steels, cutters, and speed/feed parameters.
- Comfort working a 12-hour shift.
