We are a manufacturing company in Uttarakhand looking for an experienced fabricator and maintenance technician to support machine maintenance, modifications and fabrication work across the factory.
This is a hands-on role involving fabrication, welding, drilling, fitting and machine modifications.
Responsibilities
- Fabrication of machine frames, brackets, guards, supports and fixtures.
- Arc welding and fabrication work.
- Drilling, tapping, cutting and fitting operations.
- Repair and modification of existing machinery and structures.
- Alignment and installation of motors, bearings, shafts and mechanical components.
- Support electrical and maintenance teams during machine modifications and installations.
- Maintain workshop tools and equipment.
- Suggest practical improvements to machine design and maintainability.
Required Skills
- Welding and fabrication experience.
- Ability to read drawings and dimensions.
- Experience with grinders, drills, cutting machines and workshop tools.
- Understanding of bearings, shafts, couplings and alignment.
- Ability to fabricate parts with acceptable dimensional accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and complete jobs without constant supervision.
Preferred Experience
- Industrial maintenance environments.
- Conveyor systems.
- Machine installation and modification.
- Pneumatic and hydraulic equipment.
- CNC or woodworking machinery.
Interview Task
Candidates may be asked to:
- fabricate a bracket from a drawing,
- drill and tap holes to specified dimensions,
- align a motor and coupling,
- explain previous fabrication projects they personally completed.
