Spice Empress is looking for a skilled and energetic Breakfast Cook to prepare high-quality breakfast dishes and ensure timely service to guests. The ideal candidate should have experience in South Indian, North Indian, Continental, and basic breakfast buffet preparations while maintaining hygiene and food safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast items as per restaurant standards.
- Ensure timely preparation and service during breakfast hours.
- Prepare South Indian breakfast items such as Idli, Dosa, Vada, Upma, Pongal, etc.
- Maintain consistency in taste, presentation, and portion sizes.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of food ingredients.
- Monitor stock levels and inform the Head Chef about replenishment requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen equipment, workstations, and storage areas.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.
- Minimize food wastage and control kitchen costs.
- Assist in menu planning and introducing new breakfast dishes.
- Support kitchen operations during peak occupancy periods.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10th Pass or equivalent.
- Culinary certification is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
Experience Required
- 1–3 years of experience as a Breakfast Cook, Commis Chef, or similar role.
- Experience in hotel, resort, restaurant, or homestay kitchens preferred.
- Knowledge of South Indian breakfast preparation is mandatory.
