Key Responsibilities:
1. Laboratory Operations Management:
Plan, organize, and oversee daily laboratory operations, including sample testing,
data analysis, and reporting.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for microbiological
testing, quality control, and documentation.
Ensure adherence to laboratory protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory
requirements (e.g., ISO, FDA, EPA) in all laboratory activities.
Monitor and maintain laboratory equipment, instruments, and supplies to ensure
optimal performance and accuracy of test results.
Coordinate with technical staff to troubleshoot technical issues, conduct training, and
ensure proficiency in laboratory techniques and methodologies.
2. Quality Assurance and Compliance:
Conduct regular audits and quality checks to verify compliance with laboratory
procedures, protocols, and regulatory standards.
Participate in proficiency testing programs, inter-laboratory comparisons, and
accreditation processes to maintain quality standards and certifications.
Develop and maintain documentation related to laboratory accreditation,
certifications, validations, and audits.
Collaborate with regulatory affairs and compliance teams to address regulatory
inquiries, inspections, and submissions as needed.
3. Personnel Management and Training:
Supervise and mentor laboratory staff, including microbiologists, technicians, and
assistants, to ensure competency, productivity, and professional development.
Provide training and guidance on laboratory procedures, safety protocols, quality
control measures, and data management practices.
Conduct performance evaluations, set goals, and provide feedback to staff members
to foster a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
4. Administrative and Financial Management:
Manage laboratory budgets, expenses, and resource allocation to optimize
operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Coordinate with procurement and supply chain teams to procure laboratory supplies,
reagents, and consumables as needed.
Maintain accurate records of laboratory activities, test results, client communications,
and project timelines for reporting and analysis purposes.
Prepare and review reports, presentations, and proposals for internal stakeholders,
clients, and regulatory agencies as required.
Qualifications:
Master's or Ph.D. degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related field with a focus on
microbiological techniques and methodologies.
Minimum of [insert number of years] years of experience in microbiology laboratory
operations, quality assurance, and personnel management.
Strong knowledge of microbiological testing methods, techniques, instrumentation,
and quality control practices.
Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., clinical diagnostics,
pharmaceuticals, food safety) and familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements
(e.g., CLIA, cGMP, GLP) is preferred.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work
collaboratively in a team environment.
Proficiency in laboratory information management systems (LIMS), data analysis
software, and Microsoft Office suite.
Demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks
and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
