The Ayurvedic Therapist is responsible for providing professional Ayurvedic massages and spa treatments to hotel guests while maintaining high standards of guest service, hygiene, safety, grooming, and treatment quality. The therapist is expected to create a relaxing and welcoming spa experience and ensure guest satisfaction throughout the treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Ayurvedic massages, therapies, and spa treatments as per the guest's treatment plan and departmental standards.
- Welcome guests warmly and provide a professional introduction to the treatment and spa facilities.
- Understand guest requirements and explain the treatment procedure, duration, and after-care instructions.
- Prepare treatment rooms, oils, herbal products, equipment, towels, and other required items before each treatment.
- Ensure treatment rooms are clean, hygienic, well-maintained, and properly arranged before and after every service.
- Maintain guest privacy, comfort, dignity, and safety throughout the treatment.
- Follow proper techniques and procedures while providing Ayurvedic massages and therapies.
- Use spa products, oils, herbs, and equipment responsibly and according to the prescribed guidelines.
- Observe the guest's comfort level during the treatment and immediately report any concerns to the Spa Manager/Supervisor.
- Maintain accurate treatment records and update guest preferences where required.
- Maintain professional communication and a courteous attitude with all hotel guests.
- Recommend suitable spa treatments or products to guests when appropriate and as per spa guidelines.
- Maintain excellent personal grooming and hygiene in accordance with hotel standards.
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and replenishment of spa supplies and treatment materials.
- Coordinate with the Spa Receptionist, Spa Manager, and other departments to ensure smooth guest service.
- Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally and report them to the concerned supervisor.
- Follow all hotel policies, spa SOPs, health and safety procedures, and service standards.
- Maintain confidentiality of guest information and treatment details.
- Assist with other spa-related duties as assigned by the management.

- Ensure the treatment experience meets the standards of a luxury hotel spa.

Qualification & Experience
- Certificate/Diploma in Ayurveda Therapy, Panchakarma, Massage Therapy, or a related field.
- Previous experience in a hotel, luxury resort, spa, Ayurveda centre, or wellness facility is preferred.
- Experience in a luxury hotel spa will be an added advantage.
Working Conditions
- Willingness to work in shifts, weekends, public holidays, and according to hotel operational requirements.
- Must comply with hotel grooming, hygiene, safety, and guest service standards.
