Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and service-driven Captain /Steward to lead front-of-house operations, ensuring an outstanding guest experience aligned with premium Japanese hospitality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for fine dining.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage stewarding and service staff during shifts
- Ensure smooth day-to-day restaurant operations with high service standards
- Train and mentor team members on etiquette, menu knowledge, and guest engagement
- Deliver exceptional guest service and handle special requests professionally
- Coordinate with kitchen staff for seamless service flow
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation standards at all times
- Monitor inventory of service equipment and supplies
- Handle guest feedback and resolve complaints efficiently
- Ensure adherence to restaurant policies and premium dining protocols
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in fine dining or premium restaurants
- Prior experience in Japanese cuisine restaurants preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Well-groomed with a professional appearance
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Knowledge of Japanese dining etiquette is an added advantage
Qualifications
- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality preferred
