Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Product Development Lead with 7+ years of experience in building and scaling software products, preferably in School ERP, School Management Systems, or EdTech solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong technical expertise, hands-on development experience, and the ability to lead a team while taking ownership of the product lifecycle—from planning and architecture to development, deployment, and continuous enhancement.We are open to candidates from any technology stack, provided they have a proven track record of successfully building and managing enterprise-grade products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development and enhancement of School ERP / School Management Software products.
- Take ownership of the product architecture, technical roadmap, scalability, and overall product quality.
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of developers, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate with management, product stakeholders, UI/UX designers, QA, and business teams to define product vision and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Design, develop, review, and optimize application architecture and codebase.
- Drive product innovation by identifying opportunities for new features and continuous improvements.
- Ensure software follows best practices for security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Conduct code reviews, technical planning, sprint estimations, and release management.
- Resolve complex technical challenges and provide architectural guidance to the development team.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and recommend improvements that enhance the product.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in software product development.
- Proven experience in building or enhancing School ERP, School Management Software, Learning Management Systems (LMS), or other EdTech products.
- Strong experience leading technical teams and delivering enterprise-level software products.
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following technologies:
- Backend: ASP.NET/.NET Core, C#, Java, Spring Boot, PHP (Laravel), Node.js, Python (Django/FastAPI), or similar.
- Frontend: Angular, React.js, Vue.js, JavaScript, TypeScript.
- Mobile (Preferred): Flutter or React Native.
- Databases: SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
- Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of software architecture, REST APIs, microservices, design patterns, and scalable application development.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building products from scratch or leading the modernization of existing products.
- Good understanding of school administration processes such as Admissions, Student Information, Attendance, Timetable, Examination, Fee Management, Transport, HR & Payroll, Parent Communication, and Reporting.
- Experience with cloud-native applications, DevOps, and deployment automation.
- Exposure to AI-driven features, analytics, reporting dashboards, or workflow automation is an added advantage.
