The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, managing channel partners, developing new business opportunities, and ensuring achievement of sales targets within the assigned territory. The role involves managing distributor networks, strengthening customer relationships, executing sales strategies, and monitoring market trends to maximize business performance.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
Develop and implement sales plans to increase market share and revenue.
Appoint, manage, and support distributors, dealers, and channel partners.
Identify and develop new business opportunities and customer accounts.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
Monitor competitor activities, pricing, and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
Conduct regular market visits to ensure effective product availability, visibility, and merchandising.
Ensure timely collection of payments and maintain healthy receivables.
Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and territory performance analysis.
Train, coach, and motivate distributor sales teams to improve productivity.
Coordinate with marketing, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations.
Resolve customer complaints and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing guidelines, and sales processes.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Commerce, or a related field.
MBA in Sales/Marketing is preferred.
Experience
5–8 years of sales experience, with at least 2–3 years in an Area Sales Manager or equivalent role.
Experience in channel sales, distributor management, and territory development is preferred.
