Job Title: Boiler Operator
Qualification: First- & Second-Class Boiler Operator
Job Location: GIDC, Vapi, Gujarat
Job Responsibilities
- Boiler Operations & Monitoring: Safely operate and maintain the industrial boiler, monitoring critical parameters including water levels, steam pressure, temperature, and fuel feed rates.
- Utility Support for Chemical Processes: Ensure a continuous, stable steam supply required for various chemical unit operations (such as distillation, reduction, and heating jackets).
- Water Treatment Management: Monitor and maintain water quality parameters for the boiler feed water system. Oversee softeners, RO systems, and timely chemical dosing to prevent scaling and corrosion.
- Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of boiler accessories, including feed pumps, safety valves, pressure gauges, blowdown systems, and air pre-heaters.
- Compliance & Safety Regulations: Maintain strict compliance with the Indian Boiler Regulations (IBR). Keep accurate, updated daily logbooks for shift parameters, fuel consumption, and maintenance breakdowns.
- Pollution & Ash Handling: Ensure efficient fuel combustion and monitor flue gas emissions. Safely operate pollution control equipment (cyclone separators, bag filters, or scrubbers) to meet GPCB standards.
- Emergency Response: Promptly identify and handle operational abnormalities or emergencies (e.g., low water level, sudden pressure drops) to prevent hazards or plant downtime.
