BCN plays a critical role in supporting Bain's case teams globally to help with analytics and research across all industries, for corporate cases, client development, private equity diligence or Bain intellectual property. The BCN comprises of Consulting Services, Knowledge Services and Shared Services.
WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
This role is based in the Vector Center of Excellence (Vector CoE), part of Bain’s broader “Data & Technology” umbrella within the BCN. The Vector CoE provides specialized support on Tech Strategy, Transformation, and Roadmap projects for Bain clients across industries. The Vector CoE team acts as the analytical and delivery arm of Bain’s Vector Practice, providing expertise in:
- Building and deploying Enterprise Technology diagnostics
- Delivering core technology products for consulting teams
- Working directly with clients to support technology transformations
- Integrating new and emerging technologies such as AI and automation into diagnostics

- Education & Experience
- Candidates should be graduates / post-graduates with a strong academic record
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in market research, competitive intelligence, data analytics, research consulting or analyst relations
- Prior exposure to analyst firms (Gartner, Forrester, IDC, etc.) or experience writing for analyst evaluation processes is a strong plus
Skills & Competencies
- Strong research and synthesis skills – ability to distill large volumes of unstructured information into clear, structured, evidence-driven content
- Curious and analytical mindset – able to spot patterns, synthesize competitive signals, and translate findings into actionable recommendations
- Excellent written communication skills; adept at converting complex, technical, or strategic content into crisp, audience-appropriate narratives
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required; experience in building structured frameworks, trackers, or dashboards is a plus
- Exposure to advanced analytics or data visualization tools (e.g. PowerBI, SQL, Python) along with Exposure to Gen-AI-based tools and technologies (e.g., LLMs, prompt engineering, AI-powered search) would be an advantage
- Collaborative and effective in virtual, cross-functional team environments; proficient in agile ways of working
- Comfortable with ambiguity and able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced setting
