- Collect, receive, label, and process patient specimens (blood, urine, stool, and other body fluids).
- Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests in areas such as hematology, biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, and clinical pathology.
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Record, analyze, and report test results accurately and promptly.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality control protocols.
- Maintain laboratory records, documentation, and inventory of reagents and supplies.
- Ensure compliance with infection control, biosafety, and waste disposal guidelines.
- Identify abnormal results and report critical findings to the supervising pathologist or physician.
- Assist in troubleshooting equipment and resolving technical issues.
- Participate in laboratory audits, accreditation activities, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
