Job Summary
Aerolink Carrier LLC is looking for an experienced Dispatcher with strong expertise in handling dry vans and refrigerated (reefer) trucks in the US logistics market. The candidate should be capable of efficiently managing truck operations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maximizing fleet productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, assign, and dispatch loads for dry vans and reefer trucks
- Monitor temperature-sensitive reefer loads to ensure compliance and cargo safety
- Track trucks and ensure on-time pickups and deliveries
- Communicate effectively with drivers regarding routes, delays, and load requirements
- Source loads using load boards like DAT and Truckstop
- Negotiate competitive rates with brokers and maintain long-term relationships
- Ensure compliance with US DOT regulations, including HOS rules
- Handle issues such as delays, breakdowns, or load reassignments promptly
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, temperature logs (for reefers), and driver activity
- Optimize routes to reduce empty miles and improve profitability
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Dispatcher in US trucking (mandatory)
- Hands-on experience managing dry van and reefer operations
- Good understanding of temperature-controlled freight requirements
- Strong knowledge of US freight market, routes, and dispatch processes
- Experience with load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.)
- Excellent English communication skills
- Ability to work night shifts (US time zones)
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities
- Basic knowledge of compliance, routing, and HOS regulations
- Proficiency in MS Excel and dispatch software
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience handling multiple trucks simultaneously
- Familiarity with TMS (Transportation Management Systems)
- Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment
