About the Role
Apollo Pharmacy is seeking a qualified, customer-focused Pharmacist / Pharmacy Assistant to support the delivery of safe, accurate, and high-quality pharmaceutical services. The role involves prescription and OTC medication dispensing, customer counseling, inventory management, regulatory compliance, and day-to-day pharmacy operations, with a strong focus on patient safety and an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescription and over-the-counter (OTC) medications accurately in accordance with clinical, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
- Review prescriptions to verify dosage, identify potential drug interactions, allergies, contraindications, and other medication-related concerns.
- Counsel customers on the appropriate use of medications, including dosage, administration, storage, potential side effects, precautions, and treatment adherence.
- Provide guidance on preventive healthcare, wellness, self-care, and the appropriate use of healthcare and pharmacy products.
- Ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy laws, State Pharmacy Council requirements, professional standards, and Apollo Pharmacy policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of prescriptions, billing transactions, inventory movements, and other required pharmacy documentation.
- Monitor inventory levels, replenish stock, maintain appropriate storage conditions, and regularly track product expiry dates to ensure medicine availability and quality.
- Coordinate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to clarify prescriptions and address medication-related queries when required.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service by responding to customer questions and concerns professionally, empathetically, and promptly.
- Maintain a clean, organized, safe, and compliant pharmacy environment in line with operational and regulatory requirements.
- Support health awareness initiatives, vaccination drives, health camps, wellness activities, and other community healthcare programs as assigned.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and contribute to achieving pharmacy operational objectives through efficient and consistent execution.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and support initiatives that enhance pharmacy efficiency, medication safety, and customer satisfaction.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹27,000.00 per month
